Who is Lesia M. Davis?

She is a visionary... who is able to see Beauty before it is visible to the naked eye. That vision is a gift that has served her well throughout her decades-long career as a master stylist, cutter, colorist, and educator. It was her vision to open U Salon in Historic Buckhead in the early 2000s. Davis’ regular clientele visited weekly to get pampered, coiffed, and feel a sense of community with like-minded people who were also drawn to U Salon.

Lesia M. Davis is the author of Taking The Beast Out Of Beauty, a collection of hair care secrets available at Amazon, Target, and Barnes & Noble.

How It All Began...

Davis’ life's work began as child's play. Her first clients started in Cleveland, Ohio, and that play turned into a passionate pursuit of excellence in finding the best techniques to grow and maintain healthy, beautiful hair. Early in her career, she was tapped to open salons on the East Coast for Glemby International. Davis later worked at the salon at Saks 5th Avenue, which proved an invaluable experience. Davis also worked at Azar Salon, a last stop, before buying her building and becoming the only black commercial salon owner in Buckhead.

Throughout her career, Davis has cultivated hair and relationships with the goal to improve every woman’s crown and confidence. Lesia's work has been lauded on numerous occasions over the years. Davis has been seen on CBS and ABC talking healthy hair and about entrepreneurship during a pandemic.

Lesia has also been published in trade magazines, including “Black Hair”, “Atlanta Hair,” "Cleveland Plain Dealer", "Ladies Home Journal," and most recently in "The Atlantan Magazine." Lesia has won several awards for her work and has been named "Best of Atlanta," to name a few.

With over 34 years of experience as a Master Stylist (aka The Hair Whisperer), I curate hair treatments and cuts, so they are tailored to your specific hair needs, hair texture, the shape of your face, and movement. This is especially important for those who have curly or wavy hair. From Type 1A to Type 4C, I am able to guide a client toward what treatments should work best for their texture and desired results.
